WHAT ARE THE PELLETS?
Wood is a renewable fuel which makes us independent from fossil fuels and those energy sources that harm the nature or can not be regenerated.
According to the targets set by the European Union by 2020 Romania is obliged to increase its renewable energy sources to 20% and until 2016 it must diminish its energy consumption with 13.5%. In the interest of this subsidies aiming the production and utilization of green energy sources will be soon obtainable also in our homeland. These pork-barrels are already used in the rest of the Union's countries.
The wood pellet, which has an extremely big calorific value, is a special fuel extruded with a very high pressure. These tiny “heating miracles” constitutes real bio-fuel, which is totally harmless to people’s health; moreover, it is environmentally friendly and CO2 neutral. This means that during the burning process it emits only that quantity of CO2 which was built in the tree in its lifetime. (As a comparison it may be mentioned that in the course of burning 1 m3 of natural gas the environment is burdened with 2 kg of CO2 while burning 1 l of heating oil evolves 2.8 kg of CO2)
The advantages of pellet heating
-
it is more convenient than natural gas or heating oil
-
it can be easily handled and stored due to its physical characteristics
-
high thermo value (1 ton pellet ≈ 500 l heating oil ≈ 500 m3 natural gas)
-
decreased ash formation (≤ 1 %)
-
synthetic (chemical) materials free, thus it is absolutely harmless to human health
The production of pellet
