The Phoenix Company is a firm created from Romanian-Hungarian private funds, the capital activity of which is pellet producing and counseling in the same field.

We were one of the first companies in the country when in 1995 put a briquette machine into operation in the interest of realizing the wood waste remained during the production of our unit. This machine generates wood briquettes which are harmless to the environment.

The following steps headed towards the green energies, thus after reading several adequate documentations, doing the necessary preparatory work and participating on many national and international conferences in this particular subject we built the pellet factory.

Nowadays we operate the only pellet factory in Romania which as a token of the long-range strategy continuously switches to the biomass based production, contributing in this way to the stronger protection of the environment. This idea is propagated and urged also by the European Union and it is based on those guiding principles that support energetic.

In the interest of this aim some years ago we bought a patent from a Swedish research institute with the help of the Kontrastwege partner company (www.kontrastwege.ro) which empowers us to grow energy willow. So we have been dealing with creating energy plantations for several years. The biomass produced in this way guarantees for our company the continuous raw material supply, thus contributing to the protection of forests.

In order to make good use of our knowledge and experience gained in the domain of pellet producing we are a founding member of the Romanian Pellet Producers’ Patronate. Our common aim is to ascend more efficiently in the use and apply of renewable energy sources during both the cooperation with the authorities and the relationship with users.
